Eva Longoria looked beyond stunning this week while hosting the 2008 Alma Awards. My jaws are still swollen from constantly dropping down. Eva decided to represent her Latino designers by wearing only various Latino designer designs. I wish African-American celebrities would consider supporting African-American designers. We are so proud to wear Gucci, Prada and other Caucasian designers but yet we neglect our African-American designers. Kevan Hall, Rachel Roy, Tracy Reese and Chicago designer Barbara Bates are a only a few of fabulous African-American fashion designers but yet we hardly see their designs on the red carpet. Remember when Halle Berry wore that stunning burgundy floral Elie Saab gown in 2002 when she won her Oscar? Every body and their momma wanted to wear Elie Saab after that event. Why can't we do the same for our designers?
